About this listen

Ishmael Jones is someone who can’t afford to be noticed, someone who lives under the radar, who drives on the dark side of the road. He’s employed to search out secrets, investigate mysteries, and shine a light in dark places. Sometimes, he kills people.

Invited by his employer, the enigmatic Colonel, to join him and his family for Christmas, Ishmael arrives at the grand but isolated Belcourt Manor in the midst of a blizzard to find that the Colonel has mysteriously disappeared. As he questions his fellow guests, Ishmael concludes that at least one of them – not least Ishmael himself - is harboring a dangerous secret, and that beneath the veneer of festive cheer lurk passion, jealousy, resentment, and betrayal.

As a storm sets in, sealing off the Manor from the rest of the world, Ishmael must unmask a ruthless murderer before they strike again.

Performed by Scott McCormick, Laura C Harris, Ken Jackson, Colleen Delany, Richard Rohan, Maboud Ebrahimzadeh, Kimberly Gilbert, Eva Wilhelm, Matthew Keenan, Nanette Savard, Chris Davenport, Dylan Lynch, David Harris.

An excellent author

Though the premise can seem far fetched, this author writes with such depth and brings to bear such believable characters amdist the unbelievable, that the book is a compelling read. For any fans of Lovecraft or Agatha Christy, I would strongly recommend this one.

Sounds to graphic

Half decent story that start's well, but overall effect spoilt as the many sound effects constantly drowning out narrators voices!??

A bit of predictable fun nonsense

Listened to this to get the most out of my memebership; This isn't my usual choice and tbh I wouldn't chose to listen to this but.... its just fun, nonsense and an easy listen.

The different voice artists make a good change from the standard one voice audiobook.

As I said fun, easy listening nonsense but I wouldn't pay for it.

Noise

Story was ok. Music in background oK if it wasn’t being played whilst the dialogue going on. Distracting. With the music and background roaring wind in some parts, couldn’t concentrate on the play. Got a bit annoying towards the end.

Ridiculous

Silly story. Nothing believable about it. Charactors rather old fashioned - country house with toffs.
