I found the first book in the series a real slog but really glad I gave the second in the series a try. I don’t think I’ve ever finished an audiobook so fast!

People are complaining about the narrator but he was much better than the guy from the first book. He really made the characters come to life and the pacing was great.

As for the story ... well it’s Stephen King isn’t it! Crazy lobster creatures, gangster shoot outs, a serial killer and a cast of characters who are equally flawed and loveable.

Can’t wait to get stuck into the rest of the series.

Loved the book. Loved the audiobook... Glad I got book 3, the Wastelends, on hand to start straight away.
