About this listen

As a young boy, Gabriel Martinez had his family - his entire life - ripped away from him. Revenge and indignation became his means of survival. Several years later, a series of events leads him to his new family, the Kings of Retribution MC, where he meets Alba Jameson.

Heartbreak being the final push, Alba chooses the life her sister worked so hard to give her by going off to college. While trying to bury her feelings for Gabriel, she finds herself faced with the unexpected. Finding strength and courage, she starts to pave her own path in life, until a faceless threat sends her home.

Contains mature themes.

I love the strong silent type of Gabriel and the fresh, beautiful Alba. The story is beautiful and the characters enchanting.

Easy to listen to and good overall. Would definitely recommend it to romance action lovers.

Enjoyed everything about it

I enjoyed this book, it wasn’t as good as the first one but it was still worth the read. The performances were not that good. The accents were awful and I felt that Gabriel was harder to like because of the performance. I really wish that the male reader would do all the male voices and the female reader would do all the female voices. The male reader doing the female voice sounded like it was straight out of Rick and Morty.

But the characterisation was not as good as the first book. It’s interesting that the tread of the story continued from the first book.

Happened upon this author and these listens by chance. Very happy I found them.

They had a bit more depth than a lot of MC romance books I’ve read/listened to.
Good storyline, with some exciting twists and turns. Lots of hot sex scenes to keep most listeners happy. I liked the characters, who both had good back stories to make it interesting.
The narration was good but a little iffy with the Colombian accent for Gabriel. It wasn’t terrible, so I could get past it.
In the past on quite a few listens by different authors and narrators, the accents attempts by both male and females, has been so dire, I’ve had to stop listening because it was so off putting. I’ve also commented in the hope producers see it, as they don’t seem to grasp it literally ruins a book. I’d rather they didn’t bother to attempt it and do it badly, as most of them have such lovely voices normally. I’m not sure how these bad accents seem to slip by any sort of production checks either 🤷‍♀️
This one would have been better narrated in normal voice, but was good enough to not spoil it for me. So I won’t mark it down.

Definitely recommend as it’s a really good story.

A really enjoyable find.

I do not know where to start the story was interesting and exciting, such action took all the time

In the role of a man when it came to making Gabriel's voice it was a nightmare,
at times I didn't understand anything so strong accent was
Otherwise, I like Sean as a narrator but Gabriel's role doesn't suit him
Melissa was super I enjoyed her presentation

Thank you!

But the story is good only when reading
