It’s the story everyone wants to hear.

That spring night in South London, when Isabel and Edward’s lives were torn apart.

The night Isabel learned that the worst things wait, just outside the door.

The night Edward learned that he was powerless to stop them.

The night they never talk about.

When their attacker is caught, it's finally time to tell the story of that night.

Not to the world. Or to the man who did it. But to each other.

This is a story of murder. This is a story of survival. But most of all, this is a story of love.

I absolutely love the way Abigail Dean writes. It’s such a beautifully told love story, which I what it is. Yes there’s a harrowing underbelly to the story but overall it about love.
Girl A was fantastic but this is something else!
Cannot recommend enough and totally gutted I finished it so quickly.

Another fantastic book

While this book deals with an horrendous topic there is a real love story and finding your way back to each other despite the ugliness this world has inflicted upon them. I was rooting for Isabel and Edward the whole time.

Enjoyable darkness

Just enough thriller/murder content for those (like me) who love the genre, but moreover such deep understanding of relationships and people. Haunting and riveting.

So moving and insightful

I pre-ordered this on the basis of a friend whose review was so glowing, I hit “buy” immediately. She was not wrong, this was riveting from page one. I have now recommended it to everyone. You will not be disappointed!

Incredible book - beautifully written and read. So absorbing and totally takes you into the world of trauma and the aftermath. Very dark but not gratuitous and incredibly moving. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant but not for the faint hearted!

I was so excited to listen to Abigail Dean’s new book but from the get go the editing was grating. You can hear the female actress swallowing and it’s very irritating. There’s even one part where you can hear her stomach groan followed by her saying “sorry” to the sound engineer 😫 really ruined the experience. Please for the love of god please sort out the editing!! The male actor sounded seamless.

Terrible editing

Was disappointed with this book after reading the reviews. Found it very hard going and repetitive in places. Not for me
