About this listen

Her heart or her world?

Grappling with the consequences of locking the door, Gianna’s life takes an even stranger turn when she tries to make things right. She struggles to learn more about the Caretaker’s duties and soon uncovers a terrifying secret: All the other Caretakers have begun to disappear and it looks like she’s next on the list.

When tragedy strikes close to home, she reaches out to her sole friend in the universe - a powerful man from another world who hasn’t stopped searching for her since the day she locked the door.

Their reunion is the start of a dangerous adventure, for the enemies of Teyan’s war-ravaged home soon target the door leading into our world. To save Earth, Gianna will have to lock the door. But doing so will sever her ties to Teyan forever.

Mind blowing

If the first book was a bit slow, the second part was very interesting, full of action and totally unpredictable! Time and time again I got fascinated with Lizzy Ford imagination.
Regarding the narrator, there was a constant noise in background, also some sentences were repeated. But it still didn’t stop me from enjoying this story 😍

Don't Lock the Door

Since making the big mistake of locking the door, everything seems to go wrong for Gianna. She was lost in space and time, but reunites with her doting mother. They return to the B&B and Gianna begins to learn more about her Caretaker duties. But someone or something sinister is causing all the other Caretaker's to disappear and soon she'll be next.

Thereafter, the story just becomes really messy with the storyline a bit all over the place. It didn't have the magic of the first book. When the story concluded I was peeved by what the author did, but I can't mention why because it will give the whole book away. I was very disappointed in book 2. Also unfortunately, this audiobook had a lot of narration errors, where the narrator was constantly repeating sentences which should have been edited out.

I received a copy of this book for free of my own choosing and am voluntarily leaving a review.
