About this listen

Margaret Mahy is one of the very best childrens' writers. Her inventive stories and humour are both incredible and delightful.

In The Downhill Crocodile Whizz, a crocodile is sent a pair of skates by his Grandma, and ignoring her warning sets off to have fun.

In Elephant Milk Hippopotamus Cheese, a giant helps Weedy finally grow into her enormous feet. Absolute joy.

This is lovely - except for the glitch in recording that garbles the end! Can this please be fixed?

There is a glitch in this story that skips the end

Both these stories were really entertaining; one about a crocodile on rollerskates, the other about a little girl with enormous feet. The storyteller had the right level of enthusiasm in her performance and the incidental music was pretty catchy. Just right for children to listen to.

The only two things that prevented me from giving this 5 stars were these;

- Really boring album cover! Tells you absolutely nothing about either story.

- The second story suffers from audio skips, which spoils the ending.

Nice audibook - apart from two things
