So I wasn't sure about this book initially due to its focus on a virus considering the current situation but this one really surprised me and helped to get me out of a massive reading slump! Such an interesting story! The Webtoon is also really good! Must give credit to the narrator - it's narrated really well! I was eager to listen till the very end

This book is delightfully gay without it being the main focus of the book. I really enjoyed the performance and I fall in love with the character of Noam. It also says something that I was already looking for when the next book would be out before the book was even finished. I will be recommending this book to anyone in the near future.

An amazing story with race and gender diversity that tackles a lot of key issues that we're going through today - racial inequalities, exploitation of power and immigration to name a few.
Noam and Dara were amazing characters and well written, and the world was as familiar as it was alien which is what I always like in an urban fantasy.

I love Michael Crouch, always, but this book is sorta awful. it poses, what I personally think, is a cool concept, with its so called heroes, villains, political intricacies, lgbtq+ characters and whatnot. but the heroes that I was so desperately trying to cheer for, were your typical bad-at-throwing-constructive mouth--sounds-at-each-other characters, which tends to make intricate politics and interpersonal drama fall bulldozing-ly flat. 10/10 I was so angry it wasn't even a fun-bad read, support michael crouch cuz his accent is crunchy, and maybe support this book if the 2nd one somehow turns out to be holy writing, bc somehow I managed to grow hope for it even tho this one was frustrating and I will probably maybe most likely somehow read the 2nd cuz now I cannot turn back and (SPOILER!! IF YOU CARE ABT THAT...) I have to see if dara survives and gets to punch a certain nazi (ppl pls do not actually punch nazis that's violent) thank🐍 for 👂👂 ✌ my ted-talk merry chryslers 😝🙃🎅🎄⭐
