About this listen
What if there was a place for heroes to come home, to heal, to rediscover their hope and heart and purpose in the world? There is, and the name is Lone Peak Ranch. Let the miracles and healing begin.
Lone Peak Ranch is a place where heroes once came and now come again, bidden and called, to find healing, brotherhood, love, and happiness. The First is a story about Jack and Sadie, Ricky and Betsy. Separated by decades, their stories written through battle and hardship, from Guadalcanal to Big Sky, Montana, where will their fates collide, and what will this place of seeming coincidence become to each one of them? And who is the mysterious benefactor who has reopened the gates of Lone Peak Ranch and given a new line of heroes a chance at a better life? Listen on and see....

Dear Listener,
Not long ago, I read an article about World War II and a partnership between the US Military and the US National Park Service. The result was the establishment of rest and recuperation camps within American national parks for returning veterans. So, my mind wandered....
Then I visited Big Sky and the pieces came together. A place once magic and healing would one day be again. That’s where my story began, where words flowed onto the page. What happened next was a search for the meaning of heroes, a quest to find self and a deeper gratitude for all that life has to give.
For me, this story is about digging into the shared sacrifice of veterans and their loved ones. What does it mean to be a hero? Who do heroes go to for help? And what if hero roles are reversed?
I hope I’ve done each of these characters justice and I hope you see part of yourself or a loved one in each of them. If not, maybe you’ll just enjoy a good story that takes a splash in the pool of hope and wonder.
Here’s to the hero in each of us, and here’s to you and the wonders you have yet to spread, my friend.
