Summary
Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!
Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.
The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.
The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.
In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?
In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.
In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.
In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.
Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Critic reviews
"Jordan has a powerful vision of good and evil - but what strikes me as most pleasurable...is all the fascinating people moving through a rich and interesting world." (Orson Scott Card on The Wheel of Time)

Brandon Sanderson does it again
Having stumbled upon the wheel of time quite late (2 years ago) I found myself eagerly anticipating Brandon Sandersons continuation of the series. The late Robert Jordan I'm sure would be proud of the service Brandon has done for him as this book was amazing in my opinion, after a couple of slow books before it's really got me excited again, I truly am going to be sad when I finish this series, on to book 13!

Incredible
Very good narrations. Excellent storytelling and character development. Good memory is mandatory. Brandon Sanderson is worthy.

A great sequence!
Amazing thriller, can’t stop listening! Sanderson’s text makes tribute to the original. I am glad that the story continues further.

Normal material
I think this book is as well writen as the rest of the series.
Only thing I didn't like in this book is that the timeline changes between the caracters.

As epic as we'd hoped
Lives up to every expectation. Knife of Dreams came back after the well-known mid series slump (between 6 and 10) where the story slowed down a bit, but The Gathering storm has not only followed the path set by KOD building up to the last battle, but has edged off book 5 (The Fires of Heaven) as my favourite in the series. Great job by RJ and Brandon. (I couldn't tell the difference between the two styles except occasionally, so good job on both fronts!) The book finally follows the two main threads we've been waiting on with bated breath and were foreshadowed many moons ago
Oh and RJ, R.I.P. Your legend will never fade to myth, nor shall it be forgotten.

I love Brandon and Jordan
Legends of the craft come together to give justice to Jordan’s magnum opus. He will be forever missed, but eternally remembered via his words that formed worlds of wisdom.

Much better pacing. More happens here than in the last 5 books combined. Super.

The conclusion is coming
there are some dull moments, when the story goes One Piece for characters, might be this is the forefather of that.
Main characters are off the cliché path, and it is very very impressive.
This Epic is worth every minute.
