Ruby Dixon writes clever and steamy plots, and her characters are always fun and interesting. This story is my new favourite, I really hope she will write more!

Very sweet and a nice book to have running in the background. Nice to have a happy ending and the characters though a tad one dimensional are funny. Don’t take it too seriously and it’s the perfect book for a long gaming session or while cleaning. I gasped a few times at things said and laughed every chapter. You get used to the male voice actor in time and having a female lead older than a teen is a massive find!

Ruby Dixon is a hit and miss for me, but this one was definitely a hit. Both MCs were society's outcast because of either their appearance and/or breed. So, I loved that they gave each other the love and attention they deserved. As with other RD books the monster is a huge (in all ways) marshmallow, and they have a lot of smex fun times.

Excellent narration by both narrators helped the story along. Rather a lot of steamy sex which somewhat intrudes on the narrative but I liked this much more than I thought I would but not sure this kind of fantasy is really my thing.

Completely stand alone (I've read none of this series)

A fun woman gets sold by her dad to a guys - She's to marry him - she's over 30 and tall, he's a half orc. Naturally she is both horrified and very interested to see what's in his pants. She's been sheltered and only knows about that animals do...this is all new to her.

Long story short, they fall madly in love and have to manage a rather awkward situation with her dad trying to start a war over her "kidnapping".

Bonus: He 💦's in his pants licking 😸
