About this listen
Somewhere in Africa, a cunning young boy was on his way quickly to the top of the food chain on the streets where he grew up when a family relocation to another city started an unlikely train of extraordinary events that led him to the United States of America.
Solomon was a street gang leader in San Pedro, Ivory Coast, West Africa. The kid was quickly making a name for himself and conquering his city as he was growing up. But his ascension took a dramatic turn when his father suddenly announced that his family had to move to another city.
Devastated by this change in environment, Solomon isolated himself from the world and channeled all his attention on to his high school graduation’s national exam, just so that he could be done with school and go back to his kingdom, San Pedro. However, little did he know that his scores on that exam were about to grant him the most prestigious scholarship in the country. And that’s how he ended up as a foreign student in the United States months later.
The book colorfully illustrates his entire journey from the tumultuous life he had before winning that one-in-a-billion spot on the scholarship program to his series of unbelievable but true adventures in the United States of America.
