Summary
The Kill List: a top-secret catalogue of names held at the highest level of the US government. On it, those men and women who would threaten the world's security. And at the top of it, The Preacher, a radical Islamic cleric whose sermons inspire his followers to kill high-profile Western targets in the name of God.
As the bodies begin to pile up in America, Great Britain and across Europe, the message goes out: discover this man's identity, locate him and take him out. Excellent but a little slow in parts
This was a typical excellent Forsyth novel. Well researched and fun. It was just a little slow in parts.

Heard it all before
Everything in this story has been a) done before, b) better, c) by Frederick Forsyth himself. I bet he wrote this book on a tablet - half of it could have been written by predictive text.

Bristling terrorism thriller
Forsyth brings us a fast paced and well researched thriller that feels extremely pertinent due to recent events. I got through this in just two sittings, it worked really well as an audiobook and felt very visual, I’ve no doubt will be a on the big screen soon. Great narration too.

forsyth at his best
Would you consider the audio edition of The Kill List to be better than the print version?
Never read the print version but I love listening because ou can really concentrate on the story and the people without concentrating on the words whilst reading

Typically good Forsyth fare
If you are already a fan of Forsyth and have enjoyed his previous work you will enjoy this.
If you have never read him before this is as good a place to start.
Narration also good just the right timbre for the subject matter.

Usual High Quality Writing
This is not Frederick Forsythe's best or mos original stories. It is, however, interesting, engaging and ell rotten as one would expect from such an acclaimed author.
Who thought Chancer would be a good narrator, though? There is a line in the story where the American protagonist says that Britain is the best place to find an actor that could perfect and impersonate any accent. The producers of this audio book should have heeded this advice. In a story that requires the aerator to either NOT do any accents or be proficient and believable when performing the many accents portrayed in the text. When a Welsh character sounds more like an Urdu speaker than a Pakistani character, you know you have chosen the wrong narrator. Don't get be wrong, Chancer is a good narrator, and if he had done the whole thing in his own accent, it would have been a five star performance. As it is, his attempts at various national accents result in some vaguely foreign sounding voices that detract from the listening pleasure and border on offensive.

Intriguing storyline if a bit predicable
Where does The Kill List rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
First audiobook purchased through Audible. As it stands a good purchase.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Kill List?
The most memorable part was when it became personal to the main character.
Have you listened to any of John Chancer’s other performances? How does this one compare?
The narration seemed a little tedious. More work was needed on the welsh accent which really didn't work.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I got through this audiobook in two sittings. I imagine this would be quite a page turner in print format
Any additional comments?
The epilogue double played on my version. And if I'm completely honest, seemed a bit rushed. Almost as though the author got bored.
