Summary
The Tudor court is full of endless opportunities for power, love, and...destruction.
Elizabeth Seymour is the unimportant daughter of a country knight, until her sister catches the eye of the king. As her family is swept up in the changing politics of the realm, they seem to be climbing higher and higher. Everything is within reach, but it all hinges on Jane giving the king what he wants: a son.
Elizabeth makes a gamble of her own. But danger seems to dog her every step, and she sees firsthand how hard it is to play the courtly game of politics. It only gets worse when the man you choose to marry is the son of the most powerful man in England.
Book four of the Royal Court series but can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book.
Featuring the return of Margaret Douglas (Lady's Ambition) and many others....

Negative relationships
I read not a happy marriage but tolerance at it's best so to say they had five children and a hapoy marriage in end notes for me did not relate in the book. not enough about the later years of her life . So not the best book I've read in this series i felt frustrated several times reading this book I was left feeling did this women have a day of happiness in her life.. Other than her children coming home not do much! . The sis is coming across more of a snob than her sister the queen and the way Jane seymour was portrayed was a week willed simpleton pretty much not a single relationship had an ounce of warmth other than the sisters towards the end.. So dissapointed overall and wouldnt read this again..
