lovely story, one slight niggle
I enjoyed this and liked the characters. My only frustration is that now and then it would tell us things we already know. I don't need a recap about when two people met or a particular event within the story, I know because I was listening. It stops you feeling a part of the story. The novel could therefore do with a bit of an edit but it is still a feel good story well worth a listen.

Good story, shame about the repetition
I don’t know if it’s editors or authors but there seems to be a trend for summarising, a lot! It’s unnecessary repetition, sometimes only shortly after the main story line.
This story is good but the summaries get more frequent as the story goes on & it became irritating.

Another click lit hit from HH
I discovered Holly Hepburn last year and like listening to easy going good stories at bedtime, I’ve listened to all her books, and I like this new one very much. It left me looking forward to bedtime to listen to the next instalment.
