Very enjoyable story, good characters and very engaging. Although a life of crime not always admirable two Tony's is very likeable.

he didn't go into his life of crime in too much detail, felt rushed, a shame because 2Tonys DOES have a great story to tell!

The lives of these types of people are often fascinating but this gentleman's story clearly only got told because the author grew close to him in prison and owed him a lot, not because there was anything remarkable or even particularly interesting about his criminal career (if you can call it a career, it seems a lot of the time he was in regular jobs).

To make matters worse a large part of the end of the book is given over to Two Tony's 'philosophy', which is basically a tedious ramble from a quasi intellectual who clearly has too much time on his hands.

The narration is not great either. Virtually every sentence finishes in the same elevated tone which grates somewhat.

I loved Shaun Attwood's books on the Colombian cartels and the war on drugs but this was not in the same class.
