Started strong, ended a bit flat…
Was hooked throughout but really disappointed in the ending, very flat and a bit predictable. Good characters and performance great.

It an easy listen
Obviously you want to instantly dislike the mistress and her sneaky voice and Susan a loveable mum and wife. But I just struggled to get involved in the story. A weak man and old lover. I pretty much guessed the story midway through. But that being said I did enjoy listening to it unfold. An easy pick and up listen you don't really need to concentrate too much.

Great story and amazing narration
First experience of this author and I now cannot wait to look at the other books she has written. I was hooked from the start and couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. Both narrators were excellent!

Thought provoking. Debating questions. Different Endings.....
I absolutely loved this cleverly thought out book.
each narrantator acting out their individual parts within the book. I could not stop listening way into the night, unable to stop the audio recording.
Now at a loss what to listen too!

Addictive...........
First of all, hats off Rose and Julie for the superb portrayal of the characters.
Secondly, the storyline..............
You know when you find a book SO absolutely addictive that you can't leave it alone?
That you want to listen at EVERY opportunity but equally, you don't want it to end , either? Well "The Mistress" is it!
Disturbing, yet relatable in equal measure . I LOVED it.
