About this listen

The gripping new thriller with a difference for 2024 from internationally bestselling author Lisa Stone

What do you do when your home becomes a living nightmare?

Your house should be the safest place in the world. But imagine you rent out a room, and the unthinkable happens…someone is murdered in it.

This is the nightmare Alfie Watson is plunged into. He can’t go to the police, because he knows he’ll be in danger too. But he can’t just do nothing.

Then Alfie receives a blackmail note – the killer is after him. And unless Alfie plays his cards right, he may not live to tell the tale…

An exciting gripping story of no idea what why it’s going to turn.
Really didn’t expect the story to take the turns it did. I found this fun, but strangely relatable. Though not sure as a parent I’d be so calm 😉
Can’t wait for the next…

Another exciting gripping story

Good story but ultimately unbelievable.
Narrator helps keep the interest up.
The main character is very silly and rather stupid.

Entertaining Tale

I normally really enjoy books by this author. I found this story became more and more far fetched, with the end part even more ridiculous. I couldn’t wait for it to finish so I could start something else. Unfortunately I would not recommend it.
