About this listen

‘This is Finder at his finest... As good as it gets.’ LEE CHILD

THE PAST CAN FIND YOU ANYWHERE

Paul Brightman is a man on the run, living under an assumed name in a small New England town with a million-dollar bounty on his head. When his security is breached, Paul is forced to flee into the New Hampshire wilderness to evade Russian operatives who can seemingly predict his every move.

Six years ago, Paul was a rising star on Wall Street who fell in love with a beautiful photographer named Tatyana – unaware that her father was a Russian oligarch and the object of considerable interest from several US intelligence agencies. Now, to save his own life, Paul must unravel a decades-old conspiracy that extends to the highest reaches of the government.

Rivalling the classic spy novels of the Cold War, this is a breakneck thriller built for the frightening world we live in now.

Really hard to put down. Superb story with great characters and perfect pace. A blend of tension and plot reveals that really pulls you in - a perfect thriller - 5🌟

In some parts of the recording, the audio skips around stopped my focus on the storyline, which was annoying. Also in some areas the narrators recording sounds like its two different takes, edited into one - almost sounds like two different people.

Superb book from a Brilliant Author

It was a good listen but not quite as good as his other books. I did still enjoy it

Not my favourite book from him.

The saying “it’s not the destination, it’s the journey” really comes to mind. The book starts with a bang and for the longest time it really kept my interest. Whenever I picked it up I had that “one more chapter” feeling. However the ending left a lot to be desired. It felt very generic and as if it could have been guessed from early on.

Another fantastic story by Joseph Finder. As noted in the heading, I thought this was a great story, I go as far as to say Ludlumesque.

The recording/editing was poor though, jumpy in parts and sounded like two different narrator’s in random parts.

Great story with plenty of twists

Finder never wastes words, never meanders or ponders. He cuts to chase and and sustains the pace. He seems to know where the plot is going but gives nothing away. My kind of writer. More please.

Great read
