About this listen
What if there were no magic left in the world? What if the secret to restoring it lay in a long-forgotten curse?
The Dragon Rider series is a sword and sorcery fantasy with a touch of steampunk.
Puck dreams of being a dragon rider. When he overhears Queen Hesperus' plan to murder the King, Puck must overcome the fear of his past to stop her - or learn the things we desire are seldom as they seem.
The Queen's Reflection is the first novella of the young adult fantasy series, The Dragon Rider. It's a coming of age fantasy sure to earn a place among your favorite epic fantasy series.

Short but very good.
Excellent narration and writing are the first things that hits you in this short book, the characters are distinct and what we get to see of them in this brief time with them leaves me wanting to know what happens next in their lives. It feels like this world and cast of characters have real potential to become part of an epic adventure spanning many books.
All and all a very interesting listen and a good start to this series. I would happily listen to another book by either the author or narrator. The only downside is how short it is.

Dragons,Magic,Curses oh my !
Would you consider the audio edition of The Queen's Reflection to be better than the print version?
I have not read the printed version but i feel Nancy Peterson brought so much to the tale ,bringing the characters to life, setting the scene and spinning a whole Wold and Realms in to existence for the listener from words on a page.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Queen's Reflection?
Its a short book but its a great start to a series,I'm,looking forward to the next instalment.and I cant say to much because I may spoil the story but lets just say I enjoyed the queen and her brothers interactions and actions toward each other, especially at the end.
Have you listened to any of Nancy Peterson’s other performances? How does this one compare?
I have not no, but she is a fantastic narrator and Id be happy and relieved to see her narating an audio book I wanted to buy. In audio-productions it counts so much on the narrator to make it a good product ,The book could be mind blowing as a paper or e-book but If the narrator is annoying or just bad at their job it can ruin the audio books. It's not like its just its reading, its acting and a talent to join with the author and carry the audience away.
Any additional comments?
I look forward to seeing what befalls the characters in the second book ,Im excited to see Booker's next move and also the Queen's.

There Be Dragons!
I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.
The set up of this book is incredible. The world and the culture is established and the characters roles within the world are explained almost immediately. However, the pace of the novel seems a bit off. Despite this, it was a very good novella.
