I adored this book. The massive chemistry going on between the characters completely made this book for me. Romance, heat, and mystery this book has everything you could wish for and more.

Quinn and Lincoln are high school sweethearts. Their love is one that can last a lifetime. But that changes when Linc breaks up with Quinn, gets arrested, and joins the military.

Linc returns 7 years later, still holding onto a massive secret. What he doesn’t know is Quinn has a secret of her own.

This story has flashbacks so we get a better understanding of both characters. I love Linc. He’s so protective and his love for Quinn is fierce. I didn’t always care for Quinn. I questioned her thought process a bit throughout the story, even though I understood why she was doing what shes doing. Throughout the story, I was mad about some of the situation but the ending definitely made up for it.

Keira Stevens did a great job. I enjoyed listening to her. Troy Duran has a very sexy voice. I really enjoyed listening to him...lol. Both narrators did a great job with their characters.

Quinn is shocked when an old flame unexpectedly reaches out to her. Risking everything, she agrees to meet him. Their reunion isn't all good. They both have secrets that they haven't told the other that could potentially destroy any relationship they have. They must find a way to come clean about their secrets and be fully committed to each other.

I really enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. I had very bad misconceptions when I first started the book. As the story unraveled, I began to realize how wrong I was. But isn't that how it always is? We see part of the problem and draw conclusions based on the little evidence we are given? The trick is to keep listening or keep reading.

I can't say there was anything I didn't like about this book. Normally I would say that a book is too short, but I think the length of this is perfect. I would have liked to see a few scenes here and there played out more, but it wasn't anything major. Both narrators did a terrific job with this. I was very impressed!

I really did enjoy this book. I was originally going to consider this a three-star book, but I kept reading. I'm glad I did. I would have majorly underrated a very classy five-star book. And that would have been a tragedy. It was easy to fall in love with the characters and the story. I fully recommend.

Quinn and Linc were high school sweethearts and found out the hard way one decision came change a lot of lives. Sacrificing himself to do what he thinks is right and will protect Quinn, Linc is arrested and sets in motion everything he was trying to prevent. After being in the military and away from home for 7 years, Lincoln is back to hopefully reclaim his love, but man have things changed! Quinn has changed and her secrets are doozies! Quinn was strong and independent, but there were times I questioned her thought process. Will they get a second chance at love, or will their secrets be too much to overcome?

It felt like there was a secret revealed on every page! This book will keep you hooked until the very end. The narration was great, but I wasn’t expecting the deep, richness of Troy Duran! That was pleasantly unexpected and the personality Keira injected into Quinn was perfect. This was the first book I’ve read by Jennifer Ann, I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve added her to my list of authors to look out for!

This was not what I was expecting at all. This is almost a romance psychological thriller. This was amazing. Quinn finds out that her one true love will do anything to protect her even if he loses half of his family in the process. Tory Duran has the most scrumptious sounding voice and brought this story to life. Keira Stevens did and amazing job bringing to life Jennifer Ann’s story to life.

Quinn and Lincoln were high school sweethearts. Lincoln then broke up with Quinn to protect her. He comes back 7 years later to try to win her back and finds out that she is engaged- to his twin brother, Kellan. Ugh. I have to say that this is one of those tropes that I find icky (a brother? A TWIN brother? Yuck) And she was intimate with both.

There was a reason she was stuck with Kellan and overall, the story was ok but I really didn’t have the ability to overcome my initial distaste of this scenario (not to mention there's a lot of cheating throughout the book). Also, there were multiple flashbacks where it wasn’t obvious that it was a flashback in the audiobooks although in the ebook, the words are italicized.) The backdrop of the story was a bit convoluted and focused on revenge, family drama and thievery. It was a bit dark with a fair bit of intrigue so that was interesting.

The audiobook was well done. Troy Duran has a wonderful voice-I don’t think I’ve listened to his narration before but he has a deep, slightly raspy voice and it was perfect for Lincoln. Keira Stevens was great too- she has great command of her voice and was able to play multiple characters. I enjoyed the narration very much.

The narrators did an amazing job! Both of their performances helped to bring the story to life. The deep sexy rumble of Troy Duran was perfect and Keira Stevens was a delight to listen to. I would gladly listen to books done by these two in the future!

Romantic suspense, it just can't get any better! Jennifer Ann gives a whole new look to how true love shines through! This story has a little of everything. Linc, the hot, alpha male, comes home from his tour as a Navy Seal finds the true love of his life engaged to his twin brother. And now we get to see what happened, why he left to begin with and what he is going to do now. It's a got family secrets, Russian mafia, promises made to be broken, and chemistry beyond belief. It encompasses a love you find once in a lifetime, unbreakable and passionate. It shows how sometimes family bonds are just not enough and how ruthless some people can be. It will make you feel happy, sad, disgusted, frustrated and in love. Jennifer Ann comes shining through with this release!

Troy Duran and Keira Stevens are incredible with their narration. The casting of Duran is perfect for Linc, his deep voice projects that protective feeling and enfolds you into the character. Stevens gives Kayla a strength to her with an emotional portrayal. It is full of emotional pushes and pulls and theses two narrators draw you into their story.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review as a member of the Pink Flamingo Production review team. This was a very well written and exciting story. The author did an excellent job of creating suspense entwined with romance that will keep you guessing and sitting on the edge of your seat. I couldn't put it down. I thought I could predict what would happen, but I wasn't even close. The narrators were excellent. I felt like I was listening to the scipt of a blockbuster movie.
