Absouluty Brilliant new to A E Via loved this story and it won't be the last of this author. Tor Thom was a brilliant narror one of my favourites truly believe that the narror is able to sell the story to me and he certainly did.

fantastic story of love and healing beautifully written and narrated perfectly.
I loved both characters and was thoroughly invested, it was also nice to read a book that wasn't sport mm related and that didn't have to have some trauma between them before they realised their love for each each, I like low angst

The story line and the character development was exceptional. I am not usually into angst but this was tastefully done. It wasn't just your plain and simple happy ending but with depth and realistic. Tugging at the heart strings. You fully felt for the characters and wanted them to e happy and grow. Amazing read, would definitely recommend and read again :)

I related so much to Jacob's beaten down heart! Love the humor and development. Only negative was all the forgiving Jacob did. People ripped out his heart....as Taylor Swift says: "you don't have to forgive and forget to move on. You can move on without any of those things happening. You just become indifferent, and then you move on." It was a bit too unrealistic and sickly sweet that he forgave. But that is probably just my jaded heart speaking😅

📚 The author’s Nothing Special Series was not to my taste: I found it preposterous viz. violent, macho types who were badass because they had big dicks and wielded guns, rushed resolutions, plot holes, OTT action and porn. TSIMS is a complete contrast in content and writing style and charmed me!! Ms. Via took time to show Wylde and Jacob's chemistry and what they yearn so much from the other so that their HEA felt earned. I adored the spice (slow, sensual and just the right amount); the plot (tightly focused on Jacob’s redemption) and the execution of the hurt | comfort trope!

🎧 Thor Tom was perfectly fine. Despite the fairly large cast of characters having similar accents, cadences and audible breathwork, the narrator clearly differentiated them in conversations. The narrator had an appealing bass (yay) but it was a tad tiresome that most male characters tended to the growly, gravelly, butch, deep register. Gripes aside, Mr. Thom’s performance held my attention and that is what matters most to me.
