It begins with a huge disappointment in Joanna's mail order intended husband and of course she has to get away from him and meet up with Jared and they fall in love.
This reminded me of the old time Westerns that my dad used to take me to see which always had a bad guy, a great good guy and a lovely young lady and though each movie was quite different, we always knew that the good guy would win the love of the lady in the end. (Sigh!)
And that ending! Oh so swoony!
Barbara Goss' stories remind me of those lovely old Westerns. Need I say more?
Susan Fouche is a new narrator to me and she is remarkable in that she has a totally different and perfectly matched voice for each character. As examples, Jared's father actually sounds like an older man and Joanna, like a sweet, young lady. Amazing talent!
I can confidently recommend this book/audiobook as I loved every second of it.

Susan Fouche does a spectacular narration of this book. Her talent is used to the max with the characters, from Joanna and Jared all the way to the town gossips! She has an incredible array of voices, and each one shines with personality. She is the perfect choice for this portrayal.
