There is something undeniably gripping and terrifying about listening to the original tapes that cant be conveyed either in print or narration.

It is even more compelling that the original book

The solipsism and outright childishness of Trump is the main feature of this historical artifact.

Trump comes across as a repetitive, narrow minded idiot. More infant than evil dictator. The ignorance and complete absence of empathy is stunning. He is disabled. Literally unable to put any kind of plan together, to offer any framework for his actions.

It’s mind boggling to imagine that this person was able to hold any kind of office. He barely functions.

It’s a terrifying record.

Less than two weeks to go on Trumps next attempt at the White House and I just had to listen to these tapes. My conclusion, he should be either in prison or a mental institution, yet he’s neck and neck with Kamala. These tapes should be compulsive listening to any Trump supporter. Anyway God help us all.

I'd forgotten how narcissistic and child like that man was. The repetition of lies and complaints is difficult to listen to, Woodward challenges the Babyman but ultimately moves on to other topics seemingly realising the person he's talking to is mental.

The tapes cover the arrival of covid and the run up to the election.

On several occasions I had to check that I hadn't accidentally rewinded the audio book, but it was just Babybollocks repeating himself, again.

On the whole it was an interesting listen, but uncomfortable to recall he was the president of America.

The writing is superb and the way that the author allows Trump to expose his frightening narcissism and show us all the extreme danger to not only Americans but the entire western world should he gain the presidency and access to power that he salivates for.
