Summary

Charlie Johnson is 13 and in her first year of high school. She loves her family, netball and Liam, the cute guy who sits next to her in Science – but most of all she loves horses and horse-riding. Beautifully written and narrated story.

I cannot remember downloading this book as it would not normally be my choice of story. However, from the moment I started to listen to it, I was gripped. The story is both beautifully written and narrated. It deals with issues of abduction, isolation and recovery in a sympathetic way. I could almost visualise the faces of the characters, the places they visited and the traumatic events that unfold. A very gifted writer.
