Soon to be a major new London theatre show, The Witness for the Prosecution follows the hapless Leonard Vole as he learns he has been accused of murdering a wealthy widow in order to get his hands on the inheritance. Classic Christie

It’s a classic story of Christie making old time radio work, I enjoyed the adaptation being a fan of the story and the stage play, Miriam Margolyes sells her parts brilliantly and overall a decent listen for a dull car journey

It was fine, but underwhelming

This confirms that I'm not a fan of Agatha Christie's short stories. There's just not enough meat in them. You don't get to know the characters, and when you've got to grips with the story, it's over. I didn't like The Thirteen Stories, which featured Miss Marple, but I thought I'd give this a go anyway as it was so cheap. And... yes. I still don't like her short stories.

Like all BBC adaptations of her stories, it's very well done, but I was just left wishing there had been more to it.
