Despite the escape from Meridian - and a strike at the heart of Wolfbane - enemy forces are still advancing on all fronts. I absolutely love this series and can't wait for the next book. The universe is well thought-out and flows. A must purchase.

Like all the other books in this series it was fun and enjoyable. With little references to other sci-fi authors. For example the character Jelal appears to be named after a character from starship troopers.

Although I found the book enjoyable the writing style has something to be desired and a lot of the main characters are somewhat two dimensional. The author reuses phrases a lot and often repeats things. The repatriation is ok at the start of the book as it allows the book to be read by someone without them having read the previous book as it give a hasty introduction to the characters but it can become annoying further into the story.

So if you are looking for a deep work of fiction then this is not the book for you. But if you are after a fun sci-fi military romp then I would definitely recommend it.
