Summary

When Lieutenant Mark Wheeler of the South Carolina Police Department arrives at a possible murder-suicide, he realizes almost immediately things are amiss. I enjoyed the narration of John Lee Payton, who brings the thrill of this triller to your ears.

Lieutenant Mark Wheeler is a determined detective , who finds himself pitted against a brilliant and remorseless psychopath. Who is careful to clean up all trace evidence and stages his victims to suggest entirely different crimes. We find Mark is fighting also against various military and civilian law enforcement agencies in four states and aboard a Navy warship. Not to mention influential politicians, and unreliable witnesses. With their own secrets.
