Summary

Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls is a manifesto and call to arms for women of all sizes and ages. With smart and sassy eloquence, veteran blogger Jes M. Baker calls on women to be proud of their bodies, fight against fat shaming, and embrace a body-positive worldview to change public perceptions and help women maintain mental health. With the same straightforward tone that catapulted her to national attention when she wrote a public letter addressing the sexist comments of Abercrombie & Fitch's CEO, Jes shares personal experiences along with in-depth research in a way that is approachable, digestible, and empowering. Featuring notable guest authors, Things No One Will Tell Fat Girls is an invitation for all women to reject fat prejudice, learn to love their bodies, and join one of the most progressive and life-changing revolutions in the world.

The best book ever

I loved it from the very beggining, cause is right the history, the point of view about all the things that happened that made us to feel wrong with our body, so I recommend this to everyone not just girls.

One Happy Fat Girl

This is a great book, honest, passionate and fierce. I've followed Jes on Social Media for a long time and only recently read this and it is amazing. Highly recommended wherever you are on your journey to self love and acceptance.

Yes, Yes, Yes! A Triumph for Body Positivity

Brilliant listen. Jes is both an engaging writer, and narrator.

So many interesting facts, and really shines a light on fat-myths and wrongly held opinions. I LOVE this book.

EVERYONE needs this book

Ive gained a lot of weight recently. I was beating myself up and wanting to diet and realised even when I was skinny I hated myself. it was my mind that needed to change. this book was so helpful. it talks about the root of the war on female bodies and bodies that don't fit the societal idea of pretty. it has really helped me forgive myself and look at myself with a kinder eye. you owe it to yourself to read this with your ears

WOW

would recommend to anyone struggling with body confidence!
The fact that the author reads it, makes it so much better because she writes how she talks, so the whole flow is easy to follow.
This book made me laugh, made me feel more empowered and most of all it actually taught me tips on how to love myself and be unapologetic about the space I take up in this world!!
If you're unsure about this book.. don't be!

Fun

It was fun hearing this book but I disagreed with some points. I liked the way the writer was reading her book.

Life changing

This book!
I wish this was available when I was in my twenties.
As someone who has struggled with self worth for my entire adult life, this book resonated with me. So much.

Thank you Jes!
