Summary

Imagine having three life-coaches who had been through the toughest mental and physical challenges; a crack team of problem-solvers who knew in their day job that one mistake could be the difference between life - and death.

Think Like a Spy brings together ex-officers from the CIA, the FBI and the British Royal Marines. Across eight themed half-hours, they recount their experiences of working in the most stressful situations around the world - and how you can apply the same intelligence techniques to your own everyday life to become more productive, more perceptive and confident.

Rubbish

What a total waste of time. Just don’t bother with this waffle.
Avoid at all cost.

So dissapointed

I had some good hopes here. The ex-spies sound like interesting people with good stories. Sadly the questions that are asked in between are so absolutely empty of any value. This makes the answer equally boring. I stopped after two episodes. Zero life hacks so far that were not extremely obvious like ‘plan ahead if you want to reach a goal’ etc.

Great book that links extraordinary real life stories from real life ex-spooks

Really enjoying this book. I’m a non-fiction addict and this is a great format for hearing real ex-spooks discuss real events in their real careers. I’m therefore genuinely mystified by some of the reviews saying they’re disappointed. These are real life and death stories that actually happened as part of someone’s real daily job. As far as I can see, the “life hack” element is a fun way of compiling constantly real and genuinely exciting anecdotes from real people doing their job. What can be disappointing about that? Seriously? Unless you are looking for lessons in how to fight like Jason Bourne, speak 50 languages and remember everything. In ten steps.

Bland

Given the subject it should have been a bomb. But somehow despite pretty interesting stories the whole series turned out to be bland and sometimes outright boring. I'm rather disappointed.

Dumbass book

Waste of my money. How much fictional can it get? Unrealistic and just made up.

Very Interesting but still things to improve on

This audiobook gives you a great insight into the mindset of a spy but I think there is definitely room for improvement.

Mildly entertaining but nothing mind blowing

Mildly entertaining but no mind blowing insights. Most of it was really common sense and didn’t seem to reflect the ‘elite spy’. Strangely I have heard some of the personal experiences related by the panel also being related by other people...
