About this listen
Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of TimeRiders: Day of the Predator, the second book in the TimeRiders series, read by Trevor White. Liam O'Connor should have died at sea in 1912. Maddy Carter should have died on a plane in 2010. Sal Vikram should have died in a fire in 2029. But all three have been given a second chance - to work for an agency that no-one knows exists. Its purpose - to prevent time travel destroying history...
When Maddy mistakenly opens a time window where and when she shouldn't have, Liam is marooned 65 million years ago in the hunting ground of a deadly - and until now - undiscovered species of predator. Can Liam make contact with Maddy and Sal before he's torn to pieces by dinosaurs - and without endangering history so much that the world is overtaken by a terrifying new reality?

The excellent performance by Trevor White was, however, somewhat ruined in the first chapter by a musical soundtrack which made it impossible to hear the dialogue. I think someone has messed up in the post production department and needs a good telling off. Here's hoping the future productions aren't similarly marred. In my opinion there is no place for any music or sound effects in an audiobook in any case and this was certainly one instance where they should have left well alone.
Another great story, shame about chapter one.

However, once again the publisher insists on random snippets of music which serve no purpose whatsoever other than being a rather daft attempt at being 'down with the kids...' Also, the number code that was sent through time, took far too long for the narrator to read - why bother reading a sequence of numbers multiple times... I found my self skipping forward.
Overall a good story slightly marred by the publisher...
Great story with a few minor issues
