I have read the paperback and listened to the audible version of this book and I loved it every time! I especially loved listening to the audio version, with Pam Evans and Moya O'Dwyer's dynamic narration and the inclusion of sound effects. It was perfect to listen to in candlelight over the winter holiday cosy at home. I can't wait to share it with my future children!

Really enjoyed listening to this charming and magical tale. Just the right length for young listeners too! Beautifully narrated, Pam brings drama and humour to the story. The music adds to the enchantment of it all. There’s a great sense of place, too, and the extra information on The Salt House and it’s place in history and folklore add a fascinating reality to this mystical tale. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful book for young people who are having problems with bullying and going through a bad time in their family. The author has given young Tomi a device from the beach lady to empower himself which he can take with him wherever he goes. I thoroughly recommend this to everyone.
