About this listen
Humanity survived....
Barely, and thanks to networks of gigantic tower systems created to surround small villages with a protective barrier of lethal energy. It kept everything out...and everyone in.
Sixteen years have passed, and a girl born the night the world fell apart learns that she has a strange talent. The towers can speak, and she is the only one who can hear them.
©2020 Terry Schott (P)2021 Podium AudioI'm guessing this is set in the future based on the tech and the style of speech/words/phrases used and just how the world is portrayed (reference to old style telephone land lines). The characters are likeable and I was gutted when the book ended on a cliff hanger BUT was pleased to see that the second in the trilogy will be available on audible on 29th June. I have it in my wish list and the third book is available on Kindle. I may wait until the third is available on audible but it's a great story, one I couldn't put down so might not be able to. I love to listen and usually listen when I'm walking my dog but this book had me listening through an Echo Dot in my kitchen while I was cooking tea. I haven't done this before but I just couldn't wait for my evening walk every time :-)
