Original pirates of the Caribbean...

Loved it ... Classic adventure... Brings you back to your childhood.. Written the way a pirate story should be. Couldn't think of a better book for adventure.

Ripping yarn in the best way possible

I read it as a child; listening gave a new dimension to this classic book

Adventure, Intrigue & Pirates!

It’s treasure Island!
What more do you want?!

Did you know: The trope of pirates with Bristolian/West Country accents came from Robert Newtons 1950 Live Action portrayal? Now you do!

Sometimes the voices are distracting.

During the reading the narrator used accents and voices and it can be distracting from the book.

Excellent

An excellent story, that stands still the test of time. It’s descriptions and characters are both profound and charming, and the language is a pleasure to read. Pieces of eight, pieces of eight

Classic

A good old classic story- this one is well narrated.
It has a fast pace action, comically unrealistic.

Fantastic

The story is excellent; Narration is great. Enjoyable and surprising even having watched the various adaptations.

Voice acting was fantastic

The best thing by a country mile was voice acting I think the story was very bland and seemed to drag.
