Summary
Avery knew life as an undercover DEA agent was dangerous, but she never imagined that in less than a day her entire world would fall apart. LOVED IT!!
What a ride! I seriously can't get enough of this series. Undercover in the Dark, the fourth book in the Dark Sons MC series is, brilliantly written, gripping, and simply riveting. It's well-plotted with a rich storyline, wrapped in steam, suspense, drama, and unexpected twists and turns. My attention was grabbed and held from the start through the very end. The character development is excellent. Max and Avery were well-rounded and very appealing characters. Avery can definitely hold her own; she is independent, strong-minded, brave, and a DEA agent on the run and fighting for her life with no one to trust. Max is a tattooed biker, ex-Black Ops, and the Road Captain of the Dark Sons MC with a past and harbouring guilt. The first time his path crossed with Avery, he was enthralled by her beauty and fierceness. Later, he becomes her saviour, fighting alongside her, protecting and helping her prove her innocence; while demonstrating his worthiness. I really enjoyed Max and Avery's story. Their connection is deep and well-illustrated with electrifying chemistry. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, Leap into the Dark.
Superb narration by Patrick Zeller and Vivienne LaRue. Their portrayal of Max and Avery's personalities and emotions was flawless. They breathed life into their story, making it even more enjoyable. Undercover in the Dark was a fantastic listen and one I'm highly recommending.
