I really enjoyed the way they followed the natural emotional changes that the last season will have wrought, whilst moving the story forward. The way the seemingly unrelated aspects blend together are a testament to the writers' talent.
It is also flawlessly acted by a stellar cast, Molly Quinn shines

Perhaps I had anticipated this second series for so long it was bound to disappoint. Great performances as before but less engrossing story. Complex, involved characters in dicey situations. Season 1 is just so good.

Listened to this immediately after series 1. It didn’t disappoint. Narrative threads picked up and resolved - but not so much that a third series might be possible. Satisfying blending of narratives. Series 3 pleas!

particularly like lou's adhd storyline, even though she's never officially diagnosed. i also loved the vignettes of the migrant workers, very vivid and a propos.
