About this listen
Just as World War II called an earlier generation to greatness, so the climate crisis is calling today's rising youth to action: to create a better future. In Unstoppable, Bill Nye crystallizes and expands the message for which he is best known and beloved. That message is that with a combination of optimism and scientific curiosity, all obstacles become opportunities, and the possibilities of our world become limitless.
With a scientist's thirst for knowledge and an engineer's vision of what can be, Bill Nye sees today's environmental issues not as insurmountable, depressing problems but as chances for our society to rise to the challenge and create a cleaner, healthier, smarter world. We need not accept that transportation consumes half our energy and that two-thirds of the energy you put into your car is immediately thrown away out the tailpipe. We need not accept that dangerous emissions are the price we must pay for a vibrant economy and a comfortable life. Above all, we need not accept that we will leave our children a planet that is dirty, overheated, and depleted of resources. As Bill shares his vision, he debunks some of the most persistent myths and misunderstandings about global warming. When you are done listening, you'll be enlightened and empowered. Chances are you'll be smiling, too, ready to join Bill and change the world.

Would you consider the audio edition of Unstoppable to be better than the print version?
I have not read (and am unaware of) a print version to this audio book. Doubtlessly I would read it, however Bills reading is phenomenal. It is concise, simple (though thoroughly in depth) and entertaining. What other book might you compare Unstoppable to, and why?
"the science of every day life" by Marty Jopson has a similar vibe to it. It attempts to relieve some of the complexity around some of the more interesting things which go unnoticed in our day to day life.Comparisons can also be drawn to "On the Origin Of Species" and the "Selfish gene". Both due to the similarity in topic, but also die to the gifted nature of the auther / speaker.
What about Bill Nye’s performance did you like?
There is a reason Bill Nye is the prominent figure in mainstream science that he is. He is extremely witty, humble and intellectual.Any additional comments?
This is NOT the book (/audio book) to convince a disbeliever in evolution of its validity. It is less concerned with arguing contradictory claims, and more concerned with highlighting simple beauties that may not have been considered by an evolution lover/thinker/scientistA beautiful explanation, like no other

Fantastic Listen

The content itself is nice because it is varied and informative, but still could have been much better. There was a chapter or two supposedly talking about how an individual can reduce his or her Carbon print, but it mostly addressed those of the high or upper middle class only! A much better job could have been done here.
In addition, there were a couple of chapters about space exploration that only remotely fit here; they could have been replaced by something more relevant.
But again, I only mentioned the negatives because they are few and specific. Otherwise this is a very fun book. Truly motivating, entertaining, and informative.
Motivating, entertaining, and informing.. but!
