About this listen
Find out what the Harpers Girls have been up to in the next instalment in the bestselling Harpers Emporium series from Rosie Clarke.
Can the Harpers Girls look forward to some happy times as a new dawn rises over London?
Oxford Street, London 1918
Sally Harper is busy juggling running London’s Oxford Street Store Harpers and looking after her beautiful new-born daughter, whilst husband Ben is overseas on another dangerous mission, this time to rescue a friend in need.
Young Becky Stockbridge finds herself in a difficult situation which could bring shame to her and her family. Will Becky, with the help of her friends find her happy ever after and keep her secret?
Marion Jackson is blessed with a son as she eagerly awaits the return of her husband Reggie. But all is not right when Reggie returns. Is Marion strong enough to save her family from yet another crisis?
As the war clouds retreat and the victory bells ring, tears and joy mingle with those of sadness as the world counts the true toll of war and celebrates peace.
A heart-warming saga following the lives, loves and losses of the Harpers Girls.
Perfect for fans of Lizzie Lane, Pam Howes and Dilly Court.
Have you tried Rosie Clarke’s Mulberry Lane, Dressmakers Alley or Blackberry Farm series – you’ll just love them!

Yes I did enjoy
And the reason I did was because Juliette Burton (the narrator who read book 1 & 2) was reading.
As we were introduced to these characters by Juliette I found changing the narrator was to say the least awful, Polly's accents were terrible Sally (Ben's wife) was given a posh accent & Becky accent was unrecognised, other characters had the most annoying lisp it was insult to people who have this kind of infliction.
I really wonder if Audio ever do read the comments that people write because 90% of the reviews are of people commenting about the change of narrator mid way. The only good thing is Juliette read this one & if (and I do hope there will be more books from the Harper girls) that Juliette will be narratating them.

Harper girls
I just can’t wait for my next credit to listen to the next book, love the characters and their individual stories, and new characters coming in along the way. Thank you to all who work to let us listen to a charming story.

Sequel
I found the narrator didn’t distinguish between the women enough. Most of the time as there were so many characters I was wondering who was who, apart from Sally Harper and Becky.

Good story and a great narrator
I have listened to all of the books in this series so far. I love Rosie Clarke's period sagas. I'm so glad that Audible has listened to the many reviews of books 3 to 5 about the narrator, and have gone back to the original narrator for this one and the two subsequent books in the series. A good narrator makes a huge difference to the listeners enjoyment of the story.

Loved the series so far
Enjoyed so much until the narrator changed after book 2 for a couple of books it really didn’t work at all I still listened as was hooked on the story but the new narrator spoilt the p characters they went from being normal people with accents to being really posh it did not work at all
