About this listen

Angeles Arrien has gathered wisdom from an enormous variety of indigenous cultures around the world, distilling it into four paths to wise, effective action - "showing up, paying attention, telling the truth and being unattached to the outcome." These are the archetypal paths of the warrior, healer, visionary and teacher, and the opportunity to embody these archetypes arises in every situation in our lives. In her very clear and stimulating style, Arrien tells us how to make our actions more authentic through listening, through integrity, courage and truth-telling. And, as Arrien reminds us, "The heart and the essence of all spiritual seeking is the reclamation of the authentic self." Angeles Arrien is an anthropologist, educator, and a consultant to the medical, academic, and corporate communities worldwide. She has taught at the University of California, California Institute of Integral Studies, the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, and the Alaya Institute, and is the founder of the Angeles Arrien Foundation for Cross-Cultural Education and Research. She is the author of numerous articles and books, including The Tarot Handbook (Arcus Publishers 1987), The Four-Fold Way: Walking the Paths of the Warrior, Teacher, Healer, and Visionary (HarperSanFrancisco 1993), The Nine Muses: A Mythological Path to Creativity (Tarcher/Putnam 2000), and The Second Half of Life: Opening the Eight Gates of Wisdom (Sounds True 2005).©1993 New Dimensions Foundation (P)2008 New Dimensions Foundation Communication & Social Skills

Too short to cost an entire credit!

If you could sum up Walking the Four-Fold Way in three words, what would they be?

Interesting radio interview but too short and I am disappointed it cost an entire credit. I listened to it within an hour and had to wait another month for a credit.
