Depth of research and behind the scenes knowledge
Bob Woodward didn't disappoint with this book. I highly recommend it.

Objective analysis
Objective analysis of various troubling world events and the participants characters which unfortunately have contributed to them not being resolved. Reaffirms my belief that honest brokers are out there and fears of a Trump second term. Really absorbing!!

how Zionist the author is.
typical colonialist centred view from the empire; describes the symptoms at length while refusing to address cause, ie NATO's expansion or Israel's illegal occupation of Gaza and on that subject, he adopts the official Israeli narrative which even Israeli newspapers questioned, refusing to refer to Israel's killing of at least 40000 Palestinians as a genocide.
I bought this book specifically to see what inside knowledge he had on middle eastern leaders' intimate meetings with US officials and in that regard, it did not disappoint and that is the only reason I would recommend this book.
Other than that, it left me with the sense that America is actually run by unapologetic zionists; a point of a view his take confirms.

Fly on the wall
Just like being a fly on the wall. Despite Joe Biden’s decline this book shows how skilfully he’s handled a rocky 4 years. Such a good book.

Great book.
On the eve of the US 2024 election this book gives an insight into the response of a powerful US government. The diplomacy required to try and avert war although intense,is not always successful.
I am fearful of what will happen if the next US president is Donald J Trump. This book sheds light on what may soon be upon us.

This book will be studied by historians in the future.
Everything I’d expect from Bob Woodward. Well researched with great insights. Non biased succinct informative interesting and entertaining. Just what is needed as a guide through the steamy fog of American politics.
Throughly enjoyed and definitely recommended.

Interesting but biased
Liked:
It has great insider information and private conversations between leaders.
Simple writing with clear timelines.
Disliked:
Clearly biased towards the Democrats, he is trying to show Biden and his team as peaceful and trustworthy people.
Do you live in the same planet we live in?
Biden and his administration are supplying weapons to two ongoing wars, and that is a fact.
If Trump was in charge he would call him warmonger but since it is his friends, that’s okay they are tough in private.
