Summary

She thought she could escape...

Katherine made it all the way to Maine before the bounty hunters caught her. Not even her magic was enough to keep them from taking her back to her mom.

The head of the most powerful coven in New Orleans is dead by the time they get there. But before Kat can even grieve, her aunt kicks her out of the ancestral home and puts another bounty on her head. This time, it's for keeps.

She would run away again, but they would never stop hunting her. Or, she could build a coven of her own, the group's magic a form of stronger protection while she searches for her mother's killer.

But first, she needs a familiar, and she can't go wrong with a classic cat, can she?

Entertaining story, OK narration

I found this to be an entertaining story with fun characters, an interesting and involving premise, but with a huge cliff-hanger that leaves you hanging. A witch on the run is brought back home after the death of her mother and goes into conflict with her aunt for control of the coven, The narration is good but not much range in the character voices, but easy to listen to. I received a complimentary copy and am leaving a honest voluntary review.
