Cornelius came from humble beginnings, where he grew up on a large council estate in Grangetown, Middlesbrough, and fought his way to success, becoming a British super middleweight champion and WBF middleweight boxing champion.

I really enjoyed this memoir. I was hooked from start to finish. Carr recounts his boxing career and personal life with great emotion, honesty and wit. A must read or listen for anyone interested in the fight game. 5 stars all day long!

This was my first time listening to an audiobook, and it was an incredible experience. The story itself is inspiring, but what made it truly special was the narration. Loved it from the first five minutes and right to the end. Cornelius tells us his amazing story of achievement from the humblest of beginnings in Middlesbrough. It’s great to hear how boxing helped in swerve what could have been a very different life into one of achievement, self respect and discipline. Brilliant, a must listen!

A true account of a boxers journey very truthful and witty in places. anyone that has entered the ring will relate to it and non boxers will love the inside view of what a hard life and dedication needed to be a champ

I’ve always been into boxing, and this is a truly interesting listen. The back story is a worthy story in itself. The stories about going to America, dealing with promoters and the fights themselves are truly entertaining. I was so gripped by the story that I listened to it in two days.
I would highly recommend this audiobook.
