Summary

Regaining consciousness late at night in a dark alleyway in a strange town, Westcliff on Sea, the man realises that he has been mugged and robbed of everything, including his memory.

Totally lost and disorientated, he is befriended by a local reporter, Rachael, and together they set out to try to discover who he is and how he came to be in the town.

The journey turns into a nightmare and as it unravels he soon comes to realize that nothing is as he had hoped it would be; not only is his real self not the man that Rachael would want to know, but grave danger appears to threaten all that he holds dear.

He is forced to confront his demons, but his efforts to resolve his problems seem to collapse into a tangled web from which there appears to be no escape....
