A story written by an author with rose tinted spectacles about the Cotswolds. It was a lighthearted read, but the narration is awful. Maybe better to actually read the story as a physical book.

A gentle story

Disappointed in this one, thought I was going to love it but didn’t because couldn’t really get a grip on the female protagonist. She certainly couldn’t play the corporate game very well. She was a total wimp.

This was a lovely continuation of life on Willoughby Close.
A Very easy listen. yes you knew there would be a happy ending but that didn't matter. It did make me smile.
I would recommend it.

Forgettable story and didn’t love the narration. The narrator made the male characters all sound like they were whining. Not worth paying for but OK as a free book

The story of Ellie - single parent who’d left Manchester to save her geeky daughter from the bullies - as she tries to settle in a small Cotswold village and while working at Oxford University. Much against her wishes, she ends up falling for her boss, a somewhat repressed, upper class Professor who, in a Henry Higgins way, prompts her to begin finding herself and mentally separate herself from her waster ex husband.

I had hoped that I could tolerate Justine Eyre’s narration - but apart from the mispronunciation of English words (‘Mo-bill’ ‘Bacon booty’), the same voice is used for the characters in book 1 that she adopted in book 1. And therefore she implies English men are all constipated

These books are easy to listen to but why use an American narrator when the books are set in England. Can't help thinking an English narrator would pronounce the words correctly

I won’t be listening to any other books in the series.
