About this listen

Samantha’s family is falling apart. Her mother’s been dead a year. Her father’s barely keeping up with the bills. Even though Samantha is only sixteen, she’s forced to take the only job she can find.

An assistant at the State Psychiatric Hospital where Ed Gein, the serial killer, and model for Psycho was housed.

And then the whispers begin....

Waste of a credit sadly. My fault, a book not yet reviewed, by an author and a narrator I’m not familiar with. Bought it purely on the basis of the blurb. Narrator sounds like a bored, sulky 14 year old reading aloud in class, far too fast and with no expression in her voice whatsoever. Sorry, I couldn’t get beyond the first two chapters because of this. I do try a few new authors from time to time, some excellent but so much depends on the narration, not just the storyline. Maybe this book is ok as paper copy but I can’t listen to it. The only audiobook that I’ve given up on so early. Disappointed.

Very poor
