Summary

Two human teens. One intergalactic resort. An alien pageant under attack. Time to party!

When a trip to the mall goes from weird to "WTF?", high school students Brad and Stephanie find themselves transported to the oddest and most wonderful place in the universe. Or some universe at least. It’s like Club Med, but more like Club Mashup, filled with a cadre of strange and unusual aliens.

With memberships to the only intergalactic, pan-dimensional, crosstime resort in the cosmos, our heroes must foil a plot by dastardly villains bent on its conquest. What can two human teens do about it? Throw a party, of course! Along with the very first intergalactic beauty (?) pageant.

Can they get contestants from countless cockeyed worlds to join their pageant, best the baddies, and save the planet?

Willoughby’s Time & Space App is the first exciting audiobook in a series of over-the-top YA sci-fi novels. If you’re into daring teens, incredible alien worlds, and intergalactic escapades, you’ll love Jon Koons’ hilarious tale.

More for 10-12 year olds

This is a story about a 16 year old boy and his girlfriend Stephanie, Brad gets a new iPhone with a special app which allows them to travel to another planet, rather like a resort, invented and run by a man named Willoughby. The author himself narrates the book and does a good job with all the voices of the various aliens, which must have been tough as there were so many. Willoughby's British accent (and Brad at the beginning) sound like an early 1920's posh butler, most British don't talk like that any more. Stephanie's voice keeps changing, she sounds like a much older woman not a 16 year old, sometimes it has a Southern twang and sometime she sounds like Brad. Not my kind of book and as I was hoping for a good laugh, I was disappointed. My 15 year old granddaughter didn't find it funny either and stopped listening part way through. I think this book would go down quite well with 10-12 year old kids as I think it is more their kind of humor. having said that I would like to thank the author for giving me the chance to listen and review this book.
