About this listen
Interpol have tried and failed to find the terrorist, Witch. Now the combined forces of Scotland Yard and MI5 must try the impossible to prevent a major international incident.
Dominic Elder carries her autograph wherever he goes. Witch is his passion, his obsession. And being retired is no bar to his willingness to restart the hunt.
MI5 know that the man who wrote the Witch file is the key to catching their quarry. But the truth isn't easy to spot. And it is only when an MI5 novice and his French counterpart piece together the smallest of clues, that Witch suddenly looks vulnerable...

“Witch”.
I really enjoyed this audiobook by Ian Rankin (writing as Jack Harvey).
As with Ian’s Rebus books there was a lot of twists and turns. It also had a lot of police procedural elements.
The narrator was also good too, bringing the characters to life.

More than a bit disappointed
When I saw Ian Rankin was the writer I bought this with great expectations. I wish now I hadn’t bothered. The whole thing is a huge non event made worse by an irritating narrator.
I’m just relieved that is finally finished.

Gripping.
One of his best stories to date. If you have read”The Day of the Jackal” and enjoyed it, then this story will excite you. Superbly narrated by Susannah Fielding who delivers pace, accent and flow in equal measure to the highest standard. Ian Rankin story is refreshingly told, this man is a Master of his craft. Excellent in every way.

Slowish start but gets more gripping ..
Good plot and a couple of twists before it is possible to start working out who the Witch is and where she came from.

I gave up!
Love Ian Rankin's books , but why narrate a mainly male POV with a particularly grating female voice, who made me cringe with her "male characters" Normally, Mr Rankin's works are read by Scotsmen, which SUITS the subject matter. What happened here?
I'll READ it as cannot stand listening. Awful.

Awful reader's performance spoils the book.
A below usual standard book by Rankins standard ruined by awful narration. Avoid and get the actual book.
