Summary
DI Sally Parker has a serial killer on her patch. One thing that sets this killer apart from the others she's hunted before: his willingness to leave DNA at each of the crime scenes. It's up to Sally and her partner, DS Jack Blackman, to find out why before the body count rises to double figures.
While Sally is engrossed in the investigation, her ex-husband, Darryl, pays a surprise visit to her new home. His actions not only threaten Sally's newfound confidence, but they also force the DCI to give Sally an ultimatum concerning the case. Can Sally overcome all the obstacles fate has placed in her path and arrest the brazen killer?

good book terrible narration
I was unable to finish listening to this book, although an excellent story. I found the narration terrible, it was robotic and where accents were attempted they were abbismal. I will continue to read it without narration. I also returned the narration for the next book in the series.

Good story but...
.... the narration was "wooden," it lacked fluidity. The story itself was good with good plot.

Disappointing
What would have made Wrong Place better?
Started listening to this book and cannot continue due to the poor performance by the narrator. Over pronouncing words, no feeling in any of the story so far. It is supposed to be a crime book which need to have some rawness about it but because of the narrator you cannot tell.
Would you ever listen to anything by M. A. Comley again?
Yes as long as its not this narrator
How could the performance have been better?
Re record this book with a different narrator. If I was to say Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins I am sure most people will understand where I am coming from.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I dont know. I've listened to Comley before and utterly disappointed in this narrator being so crap I cannot continue. A waste of a credit
Any additional comments?
Sack the narrator

A reasonable story but stilted narration
The story was good, with enough detail to keep me interested. The narration was poor. It sounded like it was spliced together, like older computer voices.

Wrong place
Format: audiobook
Narrator: Charlotte Anne dore
I’ve read other books by this author and really enjoyed them, unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this one as much, it’s still a good story but it seems a lot of it is more about the characters lives outside of the case they’re supposed to be investigating.
I brought this as an audiobook which has definitely influenced my enjoyment of the book especially as the main characters are written as down to earth with rhyming slang at times but the narrators delivery is very precise in enunciation which in something like a period drama would be perfect but in this it prevents a natural flow making it a little robotic, for me the impression I’m getting of the characters and this narrators style doesn’t go together.

Had to finish at chapter 9!
Tried to persevere with this book as I would have enjoyed the story but the performances seemed to irritate me as they seemed unnatural and stilted!
Too clipped and precise for a couple of busy cops hunted down a grotesque murderer!
So if all performances of M A Comley are by the same people regrettably I will not choose any other titles!

Appalling Narration
I tried to persevere listening to this story but the appalling Narration got the better of me. Have heard better AI Narration. The story failed to hold interest as I spent more time translating what I was hearing into what I expected to hear. Get a new narrator please
