About this listen

Ynyr was a third male, and while he was a fit and worthy warrior, he had always known that no female would ever join with him. Too many looked down on his family because of his mother's refusal to leave his manno. He knew Ull would be able to overcome this because he was a first male and would one day be a lord; maybe even Vali, since he was a second male, but neither Ynyr nor his younger brother, Zev, would ever be acceptable to a female. The most they could hope for was to serve their house with honor, but that all changed with the arrival of the females from Earth.

Abby's life had not been an easy one, especially after the death of her family when she was 16, but she had thought things were finally looking up. She was a year away from achieving her dream of becoming a teacher. Soon she would be making a difference in the lives of children others had given up on...that all changed when she was abducted by the Tornians.

Ynyr and Abby had come together in the most unusual of ways, but that was just the beginning of their unique relationship. Together they had to do something no other lord and lady had to do. They had to take a house that had been destroyed by deceit and evil and turn it back into the worthy and respected house that it had once been. Will the secrets left behind by Bertos and Risa tear them apart? Or, will it be Abby's secret and Ynyr's reaction to it that does?

I love the books in this serie

I like this book very much. It is only a pity the pronouncion of the name of Ynyr is with an a and in the book Grim it is with an ie/y.

Marvellous

I really love this story and became totally lost in it, I can't wait to hear the next one in the story and look forward to the next book also. These are well written books and a real pleasure to listen to.

It's Ynyr, not Yaynar!

Would you try another book written by M.K. Eidem or narrated by Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill ?

M. K. Eidem yes - narrators No!

Would you be willing to try another one of Ian Gordon and Jennifer Gill ’s performances?

No, I had enjoyed this series so far, (a bit of a guilty pleasure), sadly this book disappointed, not the storey line, simply because they replaced the original narrators, (I hate when they do that mid series). I felt neither of the new narrators were great, they didn’t seem to use any inflection in their voices to carry you along with the storey, both were quite flat.

Any additional comments?

One thing which was most annoying, was the use of Ynyr’s name, he was introduced in the second book, (Wray), as, ‘Ynear’, which, if you look at the spelling, makes perfect sense. In this book, the narrators have changed his name to ‘Yaynar’, adding two A’s, which are not there, you’d think someone would be monitoring for continuity errors, no?

Sadly, the Tornians storey will have to go on without me as the next book has the same narrators.
