This certainly cheered me up following my return from a sunshine holiday back to the gloomy grey skies. The storyline is very lighthearted without having too much depth. But please! Please! Please… do not use that female narrator again. Her voice was so irritating, unnatural and grating it set my teeth on edge. She so spoilt my listening pleasure. I will not purchase any more books that she narrates on.

Good book but I would have liked Joel to sound more like
Ben Elton, as I have all the other Nick Spalding books I've read, only the first I've read as Audible due to illness.

I’m suffering from depression and I need to laugh. At first I thought this isn’t for me but I persevered. I am now going to look for another book by Nick Spaulding. I will get better one book at a time. Thank you Nick x

This is the first Nick Spalding book I have every read & It was laugh out loud funny and believable.

My parents went on holiday to Florida from Bristol in England and actually bumped into someone they knew from their area in Bristol at Disneyland in the que on a ride!

My Cousin's husband also from Bristol in England went to Australia and stayed in a hostel and could not believe his eyes when he seen his mate from Bristol in the same hostel!

We all know America and Australia are absolutely huge countries and thousands of miles away but it happened, So I know these weird things happen and that saying we all use "you couldn't write about it could you" well I for one am happy that Nick Spalding did write about it and I am happy I got the ending wrong.

The narrator's were awful, it really lets the book down. I had to increase the narration speed. The female narrator was extremely grating and whiney. The male narrator couldn't talk clearly which is fine in life but not as a job as a narrator.

I love singing but I have an awful singing voice, so I wouldn't be given a career as a singer.

I look forward to listening to Nick Spalding 's other audio books.

I love light hearted funny listens as the world🌎 has just gone through a pandemic and Ukraine is under attack, so funny light listen romcoms for me please😀😂and

I actually got this book in the sale which was brilliant because it was already in my AUDIBLE wishlist. If you want to laugh I totally recommend this book but if you want a serious read then this book is not for you!

Hilarious Story but poor narration

This book has some real laugh out loud moments and is told as a funny story as the basis of the “will they won’t they get back together”. The only two issues are first the female narrators voice is terrible. You have to hear it to believe it! Secondly the end is all fine except ending up working for your ex wife’s boyfriend after the whole book about the main couples feelings? Nahh not likely. But put those small’ish items aside and I would recommend listening if you want a light hearted laugh.

I laughed out loud for quite a while at one incredibly funny scene in particular and chuckled heavily throughout the rest. The narration of Joel in particular was spot on. Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyable.

Absolutely Hilarious

This might be an odd review, I’m only a few chapters into the book but the woman narrating is making me want to tear my own ears off. I’m trying to listen past her voice to the content itself - it seems to be a fun, light book, just the ticket for a gloomy day, however the narrator is so unappealing I find myself not giving a stuff about the character she’s portraying. Therefore the story is ruined for me. I want to know what happens but I just can’t cope with the appalling performance!

Hilarious as usual, with a great story in between the hilarity! Loved the characters, went from not being able to stand Amy to warming to her!
