صدر هذا الكتاب للكاتب الساخر عمر طاهر بمناسبة مئوية نادي الزمالك، وقد جاء في مئتي صفحة مقسّمة إلى عدّة فصول متنوعة يبدأها بملخّص عن تاريخ نشأة النادي الأهلي ونادي الزمالك مع بعض الحكايات الوطنية لمؤسسي نادي الزمالك الذي بدأ باسم "النادي المختلط" لتمكين المصريين من المشاركة فيه إلى جانب "الخواجات" كما يشرح عن اسم "الزمالك" وسبب التسمية.

في أحد الفصول وتحت اسم "تشكيل المئوية" يضع المؤلف التشكيل الأمثل للنادي على مدار مئة عام من خلال وجهة نظره بصفته متابع وعاشق لهذا الفريق.

أمّا فصل "كابتن لطيف" فقد جاء بمثابة سيرة ذاتية لمعلق كروي شهير كان فيما مضى أحد نجوم نادي الزمالك القدامى ويختتم الكتاب بأرشيف الزمالك وهو مجموعة من الصور النادرة لأعضاء النادي ورموزه على مدار المئة عام المنقضية.
